WatchesWell sadly Tony Curtis has died at 85. Even more sadly I took him off my death list for this year because he was looking better. I was wrong.

I was three quarters of the way through an In Our Time podcast with Melvyn Bragg and a couple of Mathematics professors from Warwick University, my alma mater, before the penny dropped. They were discussing the subject of imaginary numbers, and it’s a credit to the contributors that I at least felt I was keeping [...] A new member of the G-shock community posted the following, on the web’s foremost G-Shock forum. This outrages me on so many levels. What sort of cretin abuses the English language in this fashion? Where is his respect for punctuation, capitalisation, grammar or spelling? How about using words? This chap has obviously been texting for [...] I like this shot of some black headed gulls at Cramond. They were lined up nicely on the low wall, until an unruly dog charged at them and off they flew. The somewhat responsible owner saw I was a trifle miffed and did apologise. No problem, an apology goes a look way in my book. Marvellous stuff! News is out that boxer Ricky Hatton has had to make a grovelling apology to anyone who may have been aware of his existence, as he was caught snorting some cocaine. The complete and total shame of it. No not the cocaine – what the feck is that watch he’s wearing? It’s an abomination.
