What a weekend of death! Tony Hart has shuffled off his mortal coil, a day after John Mortimer. So in one weekend I’ve accumulated 40% of my points for the whole of last year! Yee ha!
My sympathies to Tony’s family, obviously.
It gives me only some small satisfaction, that my first point of 2009 arises from the death of John Mortimer who, despite being a lawyer, was a decent man, full of wit and charm.
I shall have a glass of port and a cigar tomorrow, to toast his works and memory.
