Watching time

This week sees two important events in my watch loving history.

First, it will see the 100th day since I bought my last watch. Second it will be five years since I bought my Rolex Submariner.

This year, is the year of the “Big Save” and so far it’s going well. A key component of [...]

Speedy Half-Link

Since I bought my Speedy, I’ve mostly been wearing it on a TF Rally strap which I think perfectly suits the original intentions Omega had for the watch, not of course that there’s anything wrong with the NASA associations, far from it. Service

Watchtastically good news this week, as my Omega Speedmaster will shortly be returning from the very capable hands of Duncan Potter at Genesis Watchmaking in Cumbria. I had to send it off to him, as it is 7 years and probably never been in the hands of a professional watchmaker. From my timing measurements during [...]

Scales

I’ve just taken delivery of a new set of electronic kitchen scales, to replace an ancient, cheap and plastic set that had seen better days. Made by Slater and only £12 with a measuring bowl, they’re rather impressive, accurate and easy to use.

Needless to say, the first things I weighed were not foodstuffs….
